TOP 10: Best Buys of 2010

Merry Belated Christmas Everyone! Today I thought I would reflect upon some of the best beauty purchases I have made this year. I thought it was very hard to pick though, I mean it has been a long time since January and honestly I can't remember if i bought some products this year or last year :/ I am pretty sure that these products I am mentioning in this post are from the year of 2010. Enjoy!

#1: Too Faced Shadow Insurance

This has solved all of my eyeshadow woes. Before I used Urban Decay Primer Potion, yes I am a convert, and I decided to try this because I saw some of my Favorite people on Youtube love it. So I tried it and I will never go back to that stinky Urban Decay stuff. I am in love <3

#2: Shu Uemara Eyelash Curler

This eyelash curler is the best I have tried. I have tried about 6. Ranging quality wise, and this one is the best. Can I describe why? No. Why not? I don't know. Can I just say because it is?

#3: MAC Lip Liner in Burgandy

Yummy! I love red lipsticks and liner and this one is just awesome. Gives that real "I just drank your boyfriends blood" or "I just murdered a cherry". I think I like this because it looks striking against my lilly white skin, and creates an awesome contrast. The formula is very nice to!

#4:Dior Show Mascara

My first High end Mascara! I love everything about this! The wand is very thick and full in bristles and gets every lash. The formula is great as well! I will say when I first got this mascara I hated it. Just shows that you give everything a second chance. Applying the mascara is a technique, not hard but acquired through application.

#5: Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer in Porcelain

This concealer was really just something to tide me over because I needed a new concealer and needed to stop mourning over my BELOVED Makeup Forever Full cover concealer in #2. Thank you for discontinuing only my shade in the united states and making it permanent everywhere else in the world! But I was surprised to find that this is a great dupe for this! It covers extremely well, and matches me well. It smells slightly of paint but you can get over it.

#6: Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper

BEST. EYELINER. EVER. I am so serious. If I had to live with only one makeup product I would pick this. It is so black, and goes on smooth, and you have so much control! It is so easy to put on, and everything i love in an eyeliner in so much more!

#7: Makeup Forever Mat Velvet + in Alabaster

This is my Holy grail foundation. Yes it is full coverage, but I sheer it out with a damp sponge and get about medium coverage with it. It doesn't break me out, goes on lovely, and takes great pictures. Actually helps my skin, believe it or not! Have had this forever, and recently bought my 3rd bottle this year.

#8: Vera Wang Flower Princess

One of my Favorite perfumes! At first I didn't like it on me. I have the kind of skin genetics that scents that smell great in the bottle smell like icky caca on me. And likewise if they smell like icky Caca in the bottle they smell really good on me. This is one of the 3 i have found that breaks the rules and smells good on both me and in the bottle. Very flowery and light.

#9: MAC Dainty Blush:

My favorite blush. I can honestly say that I never wore blush regularly until September of this year, when I realized that I am so pale i look unhealthy and dead if I don't wear it. This blush was the first I liked, and it got me to blush experimentation. This gives me a healthy glow, and this blush is actually glowy and has a shimmery sheen to it.

#10: Fyrinnae Pigments

I finally caved into these babies after so much hype and talk about them. They are so pigmented, shimmery, glittery, buttery, ___insert word__y! They have amazing texture and quality for being sooo inexpensive! The colors are so unique and just.... dreamy!

#11 (Hehe): Rose Fix+

I love this! I sets all of your face makeup so it doesn't look heavy or cakey and gives you a radiant glow to your face. I also gives me a dewy look sometimes (since you are squirting water on your face ;P) which makes it look like you aren't wearing any makeup at all! The rose specifically makes some insignificant difference compared to the normal Fix+ but it does and it is better than the normal one. Again don't know why but it is!

1. Why did you create the blog?
Because I constantly kept watching Makeup Gurus on YT make really awesome unique makeup looks and I would always wish I could do that. So one Day I tried and it ended up being not so bad. I decided to record this journey of experimentation by using a blog, and maybe showing people some tips!
2. What kind of blogs do you follow?
Usually more creative Makeup themed blogs! I also follow people that love those indie makeup brands and always have great, accurate, up to date swatches of the newest goodies! Vegan food blogs are also on my blog roll :)

3. Do you have a favourite make-up brand?
Personally Makeup Forever is a great brand that I am never disappointed with. I love them <3 I also love Fyrinnae and Revlon!

4. A favourite clothing brand?
Probably Old Navy. I really like simple, basic things that are classic and go with anything. Old navy is great for that, and all there clothes are soft and fit me very well!

5. What make-up products are essential for you?
Okay here we go!

For Foundation/ concealer would be MUFE HD, or Mat velvet foundation and Kat Von D Tattoo concealer. For Primer I would say Smashbox photofinish or MUFE HD. For Mascara PH Organic Wear and eyeliner Kat Von D Tattoo liner! Blush = MAC Dainty, and for Lipbalm it would be EOS products! Need them all!

6. What's your favourite colour?
Purple! I love it, eat it, breathe it, and love it again! It has been by favorite since I have been 10!
7. What's your favourite perfume?
OOhh toughy! I love these three equally: Vera Wang Flower Princess, 100% Love for her, and Gwen Stefani's "G".
8. What's the film you liked the most?
Big Fish!! I love that movie sooooo much!!
9. What countries would you like to go to?
A lot!! I haven't left the United States, not even to the Bahamas or anything! I have a list of 21 Countries that I want to visit and I doubt you would want to read them all!

Christmas Time Is Here Again!!

Thought I would Share some pictures of my holiday decorations with everybody since there is only 6 days till Christmas!! I haven't updating in a while, you can blame school for that, and the most dreadful teacher on the face of the earth, Ms. Sanford. Enough on that topic, I am officially off for Winter break from now till January 3rd!! Well Enjoy the photos and expect a review on a foundation soon!!

A picture of me In the new foundation I have been testing out this week. Makeup Forever HD in 110. Which sadly is too dark for me and I have no choice but to mix not only with white, but with EQUAL parts of white. Review coming soon like I said above. It photographs really well too!

My Perfect Imperfections Tag

Okay so I really Like This tag going around that you basically give the Three things/ parts on or of your body that you like and dislike. So I will get the bad done with first then on to the positive :) I would love to see your guys opinions on your Perfect Imperfection!

Three things I don't Like:

1. My Nails: Basically I hate my nail beds! They are lower compared to everyone else's beds! You know the nails that are long but, they are long without the actually finger nail going past the finger? I strive for them and just stopped trying because I know It is unrealistic.
2. My Body: I have always had a Hate/ Hate Relationship with my body. I used to weigh around 210, and then one summer, mostly because kids at school were constantly making fun of me because of it, I changed that summer and by the end I came out to what I weigh today 127-130. I mean that is considered Skinny because I am 5'10 but I have always wanted to be skinnier. I will tell you I didn't lose it the healthy way and still have the effects of anorexia with me today. Always comparing my body to other girls that have boy friends, and thinking maybe if I was skinnier I would have one. I am getting over that, but it is still a struggle.
3. My Dark Circles/ Coldsores: These are genetic, but the only thing about my genes that I don't like. The dark circles on my face are pretty severe for being as pale as I am. Cold Sores aren't genetic but you have to kiss someone to catch the virus. In my case my Mamaw kissed me when she had one on her lip and I get them around every picture day ( Lovely, right?), when I am stressed, and when I am actually sick.

Three Things I like:

1. My skin: I absolutely love my skin!! Not so much how clear my skin is, but the color. I am not trying to be racist but I think is because I always, always, always get picked on at school because of it. And every time someone says "Albino, Casper, Alien" Yes, it effects me but I know for a fact that I wouldn't have it any other way. And if I didn't love my skin all the name calling would be for nothings, and I know that it is worth something because I wouldn't change my lilly whiteness for anything in the world!
2. My Eyes: I love the shape, color, and size of my eyes! I have big old Baby blue's and I love them! I got them from my German heritage and I am really proud of this feature!! I think I have semi- doe eyes and I love it!
3. My freckles: I have no freckles anywhere on my body except the bridge of my nose, and I think it is something that makes me unique! My freckles are barely there, in the sense that they are very light, but makes me look younger and more innocent. I love each little freckle no more than the other!
