Skin and Brows: Anastasia Brows and Bobbi Brown

I think that the one thing I wish I would have started doing sooner in my whole makeup "career" is doing my eyebrows. It really makes such a dramatic difference in your face. It gives you a facelift and makes you look more awake and ... alive. Anyway, I have been in a constant struggle from a very long time ago to find a brow filler that doesn't make me look like a flaming ginger. Because my uncle and cousins have red hair I was blessed with having red tinges in my brows. So I have to literally find the most ashy color, for light blondes out there. I think I might have found it! I use the lighter side, but using the darker side for anyone makes you look younger. So I picked this up in Ash Blonde/Taupe, and I like power better because it looks more natural... in my opinion.

Did you notice that I GOT A NEW CAMERA? :O Well I did. Its the Canon Rebel T3i. Its such a beautiful piece of equiptment.
Any how... This brow power duo comes in this nice silvered little compact, with a mirror... not like I would suggest using that mirror to do your brows though... I would actually highly not suggest doing so. But In my journey, I have found this to be the best for my brows. And like I said. I have pretty blonde hair and on my brows I have a hidden tinge of ginger in the undertone apparently. I have only tried and been using this for about a week or so, but I still love it and find it the best brow product I have used thus far.

Now on to a substitute that I picked up at Sephora to replace my Cover FX concealer. So here is me, thinking "Oh Megan.. you really love Bobbi Browns tinted moisturizer... so just try the foundation stick. Not like you have many other choices here. I mean your alabaster skin is a rarity uncommon in Florida, this is the only thing in this store that could come close to matching you." So basically I got it. And straight up, matched my skin perfectly. I mean the shade description is supposed to be pinker than all of Bobbi Brown makes. And the tinted moisturizer is a tad dark in the same shade so I mix white into it. With this it is perfect, I suspect because it is a cream. Anyway I love it, thus far. Though I want to mention it is hella exspensive for .31 oz. coming in at 40$. Other than that I love it.

Well, anyways. I have had literally the worst week of my life this week. School sucked so bad. Tests, Homework, everything. I am trying to get some posts up between the two blogs I run.. So guys. For most of you its already 2012 so... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! It is not yet 2012 here in the USA yet. I just wanted to say that I am so thankful for every single person that follows or religiously reads my blog. I love you guys. I hope you have/(had) a New Years kiss at Midnight, I hope all your dreams come true, I hope you find what you are looking for next year. I hope but nothing for the best from all of you. Oh my goodness guys! I am actually going to Europe this summer. I am dying!!! I have wanted to go forever!! And it is finally happening! I have no clue how long we are staying there but, I can imagine It would be somewhere from one week to two weeks. We would be going to Germany, and France definitely.. and possibly England ( its still up in the air because the Olympics are in England next year!).
I have a friend, Ashley, who is coming with me, along with my parents. I have a couple goals before I go there. And I have a couple goals that I would like to accomplish while there.
Some things that I would like to get done before the trip include the following:
1. Become slightly more tan. Right now.. honestly I am about NW7.. so my goal is to be
about NW17ish, In MAC shading.
2. Get even more "fit". By that I mean really tone up my body. I have a pretty toned
stomach, but I want it even more toned. I want to be "fit" for those European boys ;)
3. Develop a better sense of fashion, and become comfortable with myself.
Those are my big goals that I want to accomplish before the fact. During our trip.. I want to accomplish these things ( From my bucket list!):

Dance Under the Eiffel Tower.
Eat macaroons at a French Café.
Kiss a French boy.
Go visit Versailles.
Visit the Louvre.
Hold a conversation with someone fluent in French.
Visit a German castle.
Go on a date with a German ;)
Go to the Black Forest.
Have a summer "thing" with some European guy.
Shop in France/ Germany/ England.
Go to Buckingham Palace.
Ride on a double Decker bus.
Make British friends.
Vlog everyday.

That is my very long list of things that I want to do in these countries! I'm so excited. I want to have fun, I want to be spontaneous, and do something unexpected. I want to remember this trip for the rest of my life.

If anyone ( Because I know at least one person is from Germany, and one is from France that follow my blog.. and I have a few English followers as well.) has any recommendations as to what I should do in your country? I would love to know!! I'm so excited. If you have any restaurant suggestions, I would love to hear them too!! If you have any places I should check out as far as shopping goes, that would also be greatly appreciated!

IM NOT DEAD!! I Promise!!

Hey Guys!!
Long time no see, eh? Well Im so sorry! Around the end of October stuff started happening with my family, and school starting flaring up as well as my health started to take a toll. I was in and out of the doctors office all October and then before I knew it Halloween was here and gone. I couldn't put any of my pictures up or anything. Weeks following I took a trip up to Savannah, GA. I made an executive decision that I am going to go to SCAD for college. It was such as cool experience, I can't even explain how much I love that place. I love it. And now for Christmas... midterms are coming up.. so I won't be able to do any christmas themed makeup.... this week!! I will most definitely do some next week though because I am off ALL WEEK!! So give me some suggestions as to what you want to see.
I plan on also doing a Hunger Games series makeup where I do all of the Districts!! Im so excited for the movie, i can't contain myself.
I am once again sorry for any "withdraws" that you have had from my absence.. ( Like you have withdraws from me... pshhhh.)

Im a Happy Camper Day :D

Today for me was genuinely a good day for me. Here in Florida the weather is finally starting to cool down a bit and be more tolerable. My morning started off very well, as I got a visit from my neighbors cat which I came to finds name is "Jello". How precious is that? Moving on, it was all up in the driveway loving on me. Despite me being semi-allergic to cats, it was greatly appreciated on "Jello's" part.

My skin was also behaving, instantly making today a good day!

I rediscovered one of my all time favorite blushes yesterday, MAC'S Dainty, so I decided to wear it again today. It works wonders on fair skinned lovelies. I also rediscovered one of my favorite foundations, MUFE Face & Body in 38. May I add that this is the ONLY foundation that matches me perfectly, the only one!

In this picture I am wearing an orange shirt but, thats my comfy "I just got home" shirt, I was wearing this really amazing purple velvet blazer and the eyeliner I have on is from MAC's newest collection. Its called Dark Diversion. I got it one because I swear to God I read somewhere that Anna Paquinn wore this on the first season of True Blood.

And I was trying out the rounded cat eye trend.. I am not sure that I'm a fan.. I think i'm undecided on it.. What do you think?

I also want some thoughts on something un makeup related. I really like this coat from ModCloth.. But I am afraid that I am too cool toned for it, or since that it is warm toned it would appear unflattering on me... Thoughts? Or shall I just stick with the grey one? AKA this one?

Long time no see, eh? I am so sorry about that but school has been taking over my life and filled out my schedule from when I wake to when I slumber. And then on the weekends all I want to do is relax for one day! ( Usually because for me Sunday is homework day...) Anyways.. tomorrow or Monday I will be posting a HALLOWEEN look!! I am not sure what I shall do, or put up rather. I did two looks so you guys will have to help me decide which to chose!

Since tonight was homecoming at my school and I didn't go.. I did some intensive halloween face art, i guess you could say. I did the "Vampire's Girlfriend" look and I also did the "Bat Mask" look. So you guys tell me what I should post for the next couple days! On the final weekend before Halloween I shall do my favorite look of them all "Pumpkin Spice". So yeah!

Once again sorry for the absence! I shall be better about updating you all! And I know I should be Johnny on the spot since I got new followers... but school is school, and when you are naturally bad at Chemistry.. studying takes up the better half of your days. I wanted to thank hebrideanspritebeauty for that!!

When I reach 100 followers.. which I think will be around Christmas.. I'm going to do the best giveaway for you all! I will probably start gathering prizes now because I know I love Halloween (Or holiday themed make up in general..) make up! So that will be oodles of fun!

Cosmic Love

I've lately been quite obsessed with lining my water liner in a darker sultry color. I have no inkling as to why but I really have been liking it. Another thing I have been loving is fashion and clothes. I don't know what is up with me lately and clothed because about three weeks ago I would have laughed if you would have told me I would be obsessing over clothes in three weeks.I even started a new blog about my slight obsession with clothes lately. Anyway I did this look yesterday and I wanted to play around and see what I could do with a really pretty color in my sleek storm palette. It is a blurple color, it reminds me of Christmas. I also was listening to a song by Florence and the machine called "Cosmic Love" so I thought it was only appropriate to call it just that. And my apologies for my eyebrows looking so red in the pictures. I enhance them so that you can see the colors true to they are in real life, and a small price I pay for that is ginger brows. That's why in some of my pictures i tried to crop the better half of my eyebrows :)

Did Someone Say 64 Days Till Halloween?

Changing leaves, Oh yes. That Autumn smell, bring it on. Halloween, Hell to the yes. I am so hyped up for Halloween this year, so excited that I am going to be a Halloween series! I don't think anyone understands how unnatural my obsession with Halloween is. Its pretty major too. All of the Halloween shows ever aired, I have watched them. The nightmare before Christmas, my favorite movie ever. All of the goofy songs like "This is Halloween", "The oogie boogie song" I listen to them all year round, I know every single line. And to make matters worse, at my local mall they are prepping a Halloween store.. conveniently placed next to Banana Republic ( must be a sales thing). You would think placing a horror store next to a Banana Republic would a rather laughable thing to do, but I am the psycho person that would actually go into both of those stores and actually buy things.
And then with all of the indie makeup companies launching Halloween inspired makeup, the names are what sell me. Basically I don't know why I wasn't born on Halloween. #WhitePeopleProblems.
Any way on to the pre selected Halloween makeup!

Pumpkin Spice:
I have never seen this face chart before, although I'm sure it is older. But how cool is it? This should be really fun to do. I am thinking about doing a step by step tutorial for this one, thoughts? I am going to try to follow this exactly minus the scary contacts because I have really sensitive eyes. This should be especially fun considering how pale I am and how it says that for the face you should use a MAC NC45 foundation. I'm NW15!

Vampire Kisses:

This is inspired by a book series by Ellen Schreiber, I love the main character, Raven, she's dating a vampire named Alexander. I thought it would be fun instead of doing another vampire makeup, that I would do a makeup inspired by a vampires girlfriend. Plus I love this book cover, and her makeup. I have blue eyes so this should look pretty good on me as well. I thought this would also be the more "subdued" Halloween look. Yes it is more dramatic for everyday but for Halloween it is considered "Safe". I might do a step by step tutorial for this too, I might just do it for the whole series. I might even stumble into this Halloween store and buy a black silky wig, to really bring the whole look together. Its gonna be fun coloring my brows black, especially since my brows are blond with red undertones -__-. They I heard are making a movie after these books which I am kind of happy about since i have been reading these since sixth grade, so I have stuck with this book series for ... almost 5 years? If you guys weren't aware I am still in High school. Hope that's to much of a big shocker for anyone, it might though. I don't know!
Bat Mask:
So I thought this one would be fun. I Idon't 100% understand why
there are fire based colors on the lids, I might keep that in my
version but I might spice it up, or down rather, and go with the cool color scheme, and go with bright blurple, yes blurple, lips.
I think this mask is really cool looking, and how it looks like you can or have the option of creating so much depth, which I love!I have no idea what your costume could be to wear this, but I would wear this wearing all black resembling a burglar. How cool would it be if this mask was glow in the dark.... Idea maybe? I think so.

Absinthe Minded:
I usually wear all black on Halloween, black skinny jeans, turtleneck (depending on how Florida feels because it is so bipolar.) so this makeup would look amazing on me passing out candies to the little kids! I don't think its to frightening, that's my opinion at least. I think its cool how the face is a pale mint color, sorta like Lily Munster. I like the glossy black eyes, and the whole sunken cheek bones look paired with the blood red lips. The "person" in the face chart looks kinda like a zombie flapper, don't you think? I like it, but I think I will keep my hair natural, which is wavy. I might add a little blush to make it look less scary for the kids, but you never know.

Little Red Riding Hood/ Who's Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf:

I think this could be tweaked depending on how you wish to portray little red riding hood, but I am going to try to experiment with some scar wax, and do the whole innocent face makeup, and then add some scratches, like she got scratched by the wolf. I'm going to make it look really deep and nasty.. but they will be small so they don't take away from the innocent factor of red riding hood.

Well I hope you are getting as excited as I am about Halloween! And hopefully when I do these all, you will get inspired to do this for your Halloween costume/ makeup!

A Long Awaited Inglot Swatch-Fest: Warms

So this is going to be a rather quick post. I got through my first week of school, yay, and I am wiped out. I realized how long and over due this post was, considering that I got these Inglot eye shadows in.. May? I'm pretty sure it was may because i remember the first time I wore these eye shadow's it was the day of my AP European History Exam. Any who, so these pictures and swatches are over three months old. Not that bad, but still thought I would let you all know. I am going to try to put up some makeup look I create tonight because My family and I are going out in our city and having dinner at a restaurant called "The Collage". So that should be fun.

On to the eye shadows. So i ordered these shadows off of the Inglot USA website shortly after it launched. I got, I want t say around 15 eye shadows for 5$ a piece, which is almost robbery considering how amazing their products are. After a week they arrived which is relatively quick for my area, and they all we in perfect condition. They came in individual "boxes" for each shadow, and it was love at first swipe. I would say these are better than most eye shadows I have ever tried. I told myself I wish I never had bought my MAC eyeshadow because its almost as if these eye shadows laugh at the MAC ones. With good reason because these apply like butter, and are extremely pigmented. I got a few of the matte shadows, I wish I had gotten more though because I dabbed into each type of eyeshadow finish they carried and I would say the Mattes were by far the best. I will also mention these wee made in Poland, which means that they are extremely good quality. It is almost a rule, if you get some makeup product and it says "Made In Germany" you can almost guarantee that it is the highest quality, because most makeup companies have get their products from the same manufacturers as cheap drugstore brands. In Germany as far as makeup manufacturing goes, they have the the "upper class"manufacturing center compared to other places cosmetics are made. So Poland is right up there with Germany. Last thing I want to say about these are the amount of product you get per gram. 2.7 Grams per eyeshadow. When you compare that to MAC, where you get 1.8 grams for double the price.. why would you even bother to go but MAC anymore? Any sane person wouldn't. I hope you found this somewhat useful, or helpful :)

Another thing! I want to wish the best of luck to those in the projected path of hurricane Irene. I hope you guys are safe, and stay safe throughout the storm. Here in Northern Florida though it was 300 feet off shore we still had some pretty intense rain, and storms. I have gone through many hurricanes in my life, so i can imagine what some people up north and in New England are feeling having never to worry about hurricanes for the most part, and then getting the news that you have to evacuate your houses because a hurricane is coming! I heard the evacuation count is almost 2.3 million now! Stay safe guys and if you are sticking it out in your house, go into the center most room in your house with no windows ( try your pantry) or your basement if it is concrete. If you have neither of those go into your bathtub and take a mattress and put it over your body('s). Good luck once again!

Hard Candy Baked Blushes!

Hallo schöne menschen!! I literally just got back from vacation yesterday night, it was a long drive.. 13 miserable hours in a car that almost stopped in the middle of the road.. luckily we were in Jacksonville ( Just a BTW this was written a good two weeks ago... so yes I am alive). Any how, I had saved this draft ( Draft saved total of 3 times -__-) from before I left to quickly get up when i got back. These blushes don't have the best memories for me because when I got them all it was either 1. because while we were waiting for my beloved dog, buttercup, at the vet they told us to go grab lunch or go do something for about an hour. And 2. because the only way you can get your hands on these blushes is by stumbling your way into Walmart. To me Walmart is just the worlds biggest contradiction. I won't bore you with my Walmart rant, but I will say that those people who started "People of Walmart" were on to something.

On to the actual blushes. I first picked up the "Honeymoon" blush.. thinking it would be a nice highlighting color because it looks quite similar to MAC's mineralize duo blush in "Moon River". As I have both, I can say that this doesn't show up to great on my skin.. and maybe it's because I am so fair, and I just have a certain luminosity to my skin already ( Well shucks Megan, don't tut your own horn.).. But it wasn't that noticeable.. dry. Wetting the product makes for a nice glow to the skin. I think maybe this would work on medium to dark skin tones better. And I find myself hesitant to say that because I thought it would work on me and I am NW15. Definitely cooler skin tones would look best in this but, anyone could wear it and make it work. I should mention that I really like the packaging on these blushes, easy to open and close, its cute, I like the font ( I find fonts on products are more important that people come to think), and I like how pretty baked blushes look. They make you want all of them because each one is unique in the sense that they all have different veining.

Next blush I recieved as a gift. Some really nice woman on Makeup Alley sent me a care package after my dog died. She included this blush and a couple other things. I was beyond grateful for her kindness. But this blush is perfect for fair/light, and maybe even medium skin tones. It is a pinker/ rosier version of MAC's Dainty. Because it is baked it gives that nice glow to the skin that makes you just look very healthy. It has just the right pigmentation to it. Not to sheer, but not so pigmented you have to use a stippling brush and barely tap it in the pan. If you have a warmer skin tone this would be lovely for you, but if you are a fair skinned cool lady, like myself, it gives you a nice Rosy flush that complements what your natural flush should look like.

Today is Friday, and I would like to inform you all that school for me kicks back in on Monday. I have mixed feelings about it. I feel like this will be "My Year" so to speak. I have hardly any classes with people I dislike or need to steer clear of. I have good solid people in my core classes, and I am getting more self confidence as I get older, which is a good thing. As a recovering Anorexic and Bulimic, I am glad I am becoming more comfortable with my body. I also am working on a Fashion Blog and started to follow a bunch of really inspirational fashion bloggers. So yeah. That's all I wanted to say, hope you all have a great day!

What I have Been Loving Vol.2 & Requests?

Happy Sunday ( I guess or Monday depending on where you are) !! I didn't swatch this palette seeing as it isn't really new, and when you google " Dior 5 couleur palette Incognito swatches" about a million hits pop up. It is rather expensive though if you plan on purchasing it in the near future. I love this palette for a couple reasons.. unlike the Naked Palette, this palette has colors which make your eye look naked... if that makes sense? The UD Naked Palette has nice colors ( don't get me wrong) but they aren't very naked in the sense you can definitely tell you are wearing eye makeup.. its still neutral colors but you can tell. With this palette ( if you apply all of the shades to your eye) it makes your eyes look enhanced, and lifted. And you can't nescissarily tell your wearing eye makeup. They all complement each other so nicely and they are very smooth to apply. Yes the lighter shades are on the sheerer side but when you build them up a bit, they make your eyes glow!

I'll be honest the only reason I got this palette is because I was grieving over the Harry Potter era finally ending and I was looking up Emma Watson, because I adore her, and the makeup she likes or wears. I found some where that her personal makeup artist said she loves the Dior Incognito Palette, the Diorskin Nude hydrating makeup (of which I got a sample), and the Dior lip color brightener ( which I have). I now have and love all of the products previously mentioned. Woman has pretty fine taste in makeup!

   Now on to the next matter of business. REQUESTS. I have recently gained a lot of new subscribers, Welcome to my blog by the way!, and I want feed back on what YOU guys want to see from me, how I can improve my blog.. so on and so forth. Wearable Hunger Games Inspired Look

The Hunger Games. O.M.G. If you haven't read this book, or rather series, you definitely should. Probably my favorite book and series to be quite honest. It has an amazing plot line and really keeps you engaged with the book throughout. After I played around with my Sugarpill eyeshadows, because I had seriously been neglecting them, took some pictures and uploaded the pictures to my computer did my brain click, and say "Ya know what.. that reminds me of The Hunger Games". The gold in the look represents the golden mockingjay pin. The silver in the look reminds me of Katniss's silver bow and arrow set she picked up in the calpurnia. And finally the black represents District 12, and Katniss.. the girl on fire.. :) If you read the book you would get all of these terms. I hope you like it though regardless of if you read the book or not!

I Salute You: Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer in #2

I'm back from vacation as you can probably tell. I am going to start a new series of sorts.. a tribute, I guess you could say, to the most amazing products that if they were alive, real, and walking.. I would most definitely salute them for all that they do. This is the first installment!

Stating a little bit of the obvious but, this is the Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer in #2. I have had this concealer for well over 3 years (sounds like a long time when i actually write it.. like probably it should have been in zee garbage..). Any who... I love this concealer. It for me is like magic in a 22$ tube. It is waterproof, which translates into sweat proof .. which translates into perfect for me, since I live in Florida. It doesn't cake up for me, glides on to my skin like a dream.

Onto the color. I must say that now since I have started to use self tanner and lay out in the sun a little bit.. it doesn't quite match me. A tad too light. But when I was a perfect NW10 it matched me to a tee! It is cool toned but not overly pink.. it carries a neutral quality to it.. whilst still being cool toned! Now onto my biggest pet peeve. They discontinued this shade in the United states. What the heck MUFE? I mean do they think we don't need it? Was it because not enough profits were being made off of this particular shade? Why did you do such a thing? I remember when I first heard about the news, I was on MakeupAlley. Fair skinned ladies of MUA were as devastated as I was. The worst part? Knowing there was no way that you could go rush out and get a backup because the only sephora in your area is closed for construction, and because it was removed from the website.
Well with all of the sadness aside. I salute you Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer In #2, for making me not look like a hormonal pimply teenager with bad skin or making my skin worse, and for not letting my face melt off in summer. For that I salute you. You made me look flawless.

The Sun Drops Into The Water.. Now I, I'm Falling Into Summer Love

Really deep title, I know! It is a lyric from a song by "We the Kings" called "Summer Love". I am really looking forward to the rest of my summer because we are traveling and going to some really pretty, and cool places. I will make sure to take some pictures, because we are going up some scenic roads up the east coast of America.

I been kinda slacking off in the EOTD department, and I thought I should start making it up to you all. I've never done anything like this before, in real life I it is a yellow smokey eye.. but I am pleased with how it looks on camera. I got inspired to do this mainly because of some of the problems that have been circulating through my life lately. Most to do with umm... relationship problems? Im going to stick with that. Mixed signals city much.. but I wanted this to resemble the summer. I live in Florida if you weren't aware, North Florida to be exact. So this reflects basically how my summer has been going. I just recently lost my dog.. and she was a yellow lab, The sunset over the beach, the numerous amount of flowers, and all of these things over the water. The colors of all of these things inspired me to do something like this. I like the way it turned out. It also could resemble the many fires that have been poping up like popcorn EVERYWHERE, but I will stick with the others.

Chanel Vitalumiére Aqua Foundation Review & Swatches

I Love trying out different foundations. There, I said it. And normally I would have yearned to try this one.. but because I was ( I did just use past tense! ) incredibly fair, I wouldn't have even considered it because they typically don't make foundations that will match the NW5-10 ladies of the world, and if they do they are either straight up white and are too thick for my taste. So I decided that I would get some color, wouldn't be that hard to get any sun.. I live in Florida.. though I had to be careful to not burn and actually get tan. Anyway.. this is just a long explanation to say that now I am around NW13-15 instead of NW7-10. That being said, I do have some strong pink undertones, but not terribly pink. I would say 80% pink, and the other 20% peach. Knowing all of this I picked up this foundation because I heard it was light coverage, and provided a natural finish.

As I said before, and as you can see above I got BR10. The "BR" signifies beige rose which is pink toned, while purchasing just the "B", signifying beige, is yellow toned. I noticed in store that the "BR" shades run slightly darker than the "B" ones. I would say this one is a perfect MAC NW15. I found it to be a little to dark for me. I noticed that if I blended this out it would match my skin, but if I barely blended it.. I found myself to resemble some what of an Ompalompa :)

Shaking this foundation is crutial!! I tried it straight up from the squeeze tube at the counter and stared at the watery nasty-ness on the back of my hand. Then I read, duh, and shook it and it was normal. Since this foundation is water based (which is good for oily and acne prone skin) it feels better on your skin. If you try this foundation alongside a oil based one.. you just feel better about applying the water based one. This will sound strange, but you know that commercial that has a guy (?) sitting at the diner and a girl hands him his pie, and then she goes for the whip cream.. and she simply asks "Oil, or cream?" and then she says it again to bring home the point of the commercial. WTF would you want oil on your pie? WTF would you want oil on your face? Yeah I just compared a face to a pie.

Many people out there on the beauty internet, from what i've seen at least, seem to complain about the packaging of this particular foundation. Its a squeeze tube, instead of one of Chanel's signature glass bottles. I actually like it, because the first foundation I ever tried was a squeeze tube.. I guess it brings back some nostalgia.. but I like that it gives you the control to decide how much product you want. I think it slightly modernizes Chanel foundations. It also makes it great for traveling, no glass means no nasty surprise in your suitcase or fear of being clumsy and dropping it. I guess most people thought for 45$ you would get fancy packaging.

As you can see, above you can kind of see the separation of water based-ness mixed with the actual pigmentation of the foundation.

I expected this foundation to be a lot of things. I found in the end it has more of a definite light coverage, but the coverage really depends on how much you blend it. I read other peoples blogs before buying this on how it was light coverage, sheer coverage, and medium coverage. I know now that it all depends on your preference. As for the finish, I would say a natural finish. By that I mean semi-matte. Though it has a slight matte finish to it, it still makes you look surprisingly glowy.. not so much dewy, but glowy.

I overall really like this foundation!! It wasn't love at first sight but when I let it set for a couple hours, I really found to love this! When I get a little more color I won't have to worry about blending though :) It feels a little heavier than a tinted moisturizer, which is good for daily wear.

Oh by the way, I found out I am going on a road trip!! We are leaving on July 23rd, and planning on going and stopping in Savannah, Georgia..Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.. Boford, North Carolina.. Washington DC, and the ultimately stop where we are all from Ohio. I will be trying out a bunch of different products, so yeah ;]

Tarte For True Blood Palette!

3/3 For the win! This palette is my favorite part of the whole collection! It came with 16 full size eyeshadows, a primer, a mascara, and an eyeliner. It also came with a little card to achieve certain looks that the make up artist for True Blood actually does on the cast. The eyeshadows are all really smooth, and fairly pigmented. The only ones that I found to be less pigmented were the lighter, sparkly ones. The others were lushly pigmented. I also really am a fan of the names! On to the samples of products in the drawer. The mascara, which I will show the effect of in an upcoming look, lengthens and defines really well. No clumping, or flaking (from what I see). The eyeliner is smooth, so smooth it seems like a liquid. I can't really tell much from the primer because I have to test it out more.

Tarte For True blood Natural Cheek Stain

Part 2! The cheek stain! First of it is the same packaging as the other Tarte cheek stains, except the only difference being that this stain when opened has a cap on it. This particular one has soo much glitter or sparkles in the actual product when just looking at it. I took a picture below with out flash so you can properly see it. But this color turns out to be my perfect natural flush. It is a strawberry color, with gold sparkles like the lip tint. It shows up really nice on my skin, and blends really easily. This one I did notice has a smell that other Tarte cheek stains don't have, its almost fruity.. but not quite. I overall really like this product it looks really natural on me, and for darker skins it can be layered to build up pigment.

I literally just got these babies in the mail. So first up in the line up of True Blood products is the lip tint. This lip tint, or lip stain, is a gorgeous color. It is a warm toned red with a golden overlay? In the package it doesn't look gold, but on the lips you can definitely tell that it posesses a golden kind of over lay. It isn't all the red on the lips, but when you layer it you can definitely achieve that red lip. This color reminds me kind of how MAC's Viva glam cyndi is... it looks red in the tube but it instead gives a strawberry look to the lips. Like all of Tarte's Lip tint's this one has a minty smell and feel to the lips. Overall if you really like Tarte's lip tints I would recommend this one. I am going to be wearing this all the time. I love this color, and I was hoping it would be exactly this, I'm so excited that it meet that dream. Get it while you can!! So worth it! The texture is light and smooth, and can it be any better that all of these products are natural? I think not.

I caved. It was a month ago so you can't really punish me. I got it because, well.. it is THE most popular makeup product that has ever been on the market. And who would I be if I didn't partake in purchasing this, I wanted participation points! But I really have been liking it lately. Mine came with one of Urban Decay's Cruelty free brushes, not the cool double ended eyeliner. I love Urban Decay in general.. I love that they are cruelty free and some of their products are vegan! The texture of these eyeshadows are lovely as well. Super pigmented too. If you want an in depth review, just let me know (I know their are like a bajillion online so..). Have a lovely day guys! RIP BUTTERCUP FICKES

Rest In Peace Buttercup. I asked you all to pray for her, and she survived the night of Tuesday.. but yesterday Thursday June, 16th, 2011 between 9-10AM.. my angel passed away. We got word the morning of thursday that she was doing better, her blood count went up 10 points! Thats great.. but then My mother got home and told me that she passed away. I cannot tell you how much I cried. Today my eyes, teeth, jaw, and face hurt.. but most important my heart hurts. My heart is broken. I thought she would pull through, she was so strong.. The last time I got to see her was Tuesday night. That is the last time I saw her alive. My house feels so empty now.. I don't even know what to do. I have lost the passion I had for life. This Dog, was my family, my life, my sister, my baby, and my best friend. I know she is in a better place and she isn't hurting anymore. I know she came to say goodbye to us last night because there were paw prints on my mom's bed, and she hadn't been home since Tuesday.. and my mom makes a tight bed. We cried for hours. She has been there for me since I was four years old. She would have been Eleven this July. Words cannot even describe how I feel. I have lost my baby, but I gained a guardian angel. I know she is with my grandpa in heaven.. and she is watching over us. I love her so much, and It kills me knowing that I wasn't there with her when she passed away. I went to say goodbye to her body... and she looked like she was asleep. She loved to sleep. This Monday.. we are having a candle light memorial service. Where ever you are in the world. Just take a minute, and light a candle in memory of my wonderful, smart, adorable, chubby, loving dog. Buttercup Fickes. A Yellow Lab. Born in Ohio, with the biggest heart imaginable. Guys. I need you to pray for my dog Buttercup. Something happened in the past week that made Buttercup start acting weird. We went to the vet and we found out she has Autoimmune Anemia, Which basically means the red blood cells in her body are clumping together and the white blood cells are flighting and killing the good red blood cells. She is going to get a blood transfusion tonight and the vet said this might be the last time we see her. God I can't loose her, she is my life, my best friend. Please if you would pray for her, I could not even thank you enough for praying for her. You guys I don't even know what will happen to me if I loose her. We are hoping for the best. I have been crying for hours, and Im not gonna sleep tonight. Anything that you could do... Guys I love you all so much and this would mean the world to me. The Absolute world. Thank you guys soo much.

Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman Brush Review

Did I ever say I hoard brushes? Cause I do. So naturally, hearing about the release of these brushes, made by Sam from Pixiwoo.. I was bound to pick them up anyway, so I justified buying them. Their called "Real techniques", and If you have no clue who Sam from Pixiwoo is, well she is an amazing makeup artist that shares her knowledge about beauty and what not on YouTube. I got the "Core collection" and the stippling brush. I don't have very many face brushes simply because I use my fingers for most things on my face so I was like "ehh why not?". The case that the core collection comes in is neat, and can turn/fold/flip in anyway imaginable.. basically.

One more thing to mention before I babble on about the brushes. The handles. The handles are, I would say, A pretty good length. Not too short like holiday edition MAC brushes, or too long like most think about Sigma brushes. They're an in between. The bottom end of the brush is a rubbery material, and the top is a shiny looking (finger print visible) material. Other than when you get your brushes ucky and you can noticeably see the uckiness.. their great. That just bother me being OCD and all.

This is the only brush that didn't come in the "Core Collection". Its the stippling brush, and I must say "DAMN". This is a great brush. It hasn't shed *once*, I swear on my life. And the bristles on this brush are shorter than other stippling brushes, and the reason why I am pretty sure this brush doesn't shed. It's revolutionary. I love it. I have lately been using it for my tinted moisturizer, and I like the finish... I still prefer my fingers though.

Buffing. A technique completely necessary for applying a foundation of any caliber over light coverage. I've never really seen a brush shaped, or have the same density as this brush does. Very unique to moi.. It's pretty sense so it lives up to it's name pretty well. I personally don't use anything heavier than light coverage on a daily basis, but I do use it for power, and precise blush application and I enjoy using it like that. I did try buffing my foundation in once when i was wearing my MUFE HD, and yeah it really is the "it" brush for blending.

I really genuinely like the color of this brushes hairs, strange? possibly. I like the fact that it is domed and round throughout the brush.. compared to the 209 from MAC. I find it shorter in hairs, which as i mentioned I really like, and because of that smaller over all but still living it up with the density. The thought process when I was using this brush was pretty much like "wow.. Wow... Wooooww". It contoured so nicely. Better than my 209. And now officially referred to as.. the better one :O

I wouldn't really call this a foundation brush, first off. I think I would use this for concealer, because as I have mentioned previously.. the brushes are small. I quite liked the fact they were shorter and smaller in all the other brushes but.. I really don't know for this one. If I haven't already said it, all of these brushes are made with synthetic hairs (VEGAN!!) which is a plus.. but I can't say I don't have anything like this.. cause I do.

On the back of the box that these brushes came in, it said that this brush can be used for precise concealer application.. pssh. I don't know about you all but for reference this brush is about the size of my pinky nail, and when I get "spots" they are no where near small.. Maybe its just me but I would never use this for concealer. I tried it but no. I do find that I like using this for lipstick application.

What I have been Up To: Summer/Spring Edition

So hello strangers! I am so sorry I have been away for so long. It is nearing summer and i have been really busy with school, and exams. I had my first AP exam the 6th of May and now I have all of my other class exams coming at the end of next week and the whole rest of the week. Thursday June, 9th is my last day of school for this year. Its going to be sad and emotional, because a lot of my friends are moving away.. and I probably wont get to ever see them again :(
My french teacher is retiring too, so that made me sad. She has a 99.1% success rate on exams too! But she did give us a booklet that allows us the opportunity to go to England, and France next summer! Its a ten day trip and I'm really excited!
The other thing thats been on my mind is boys... oh lordy. It always has something to do with boys doesn't it? Anyways ... i think if things work out the way I plan.. we might have something going on ;) But their is always a possibility of a roadblock popping up... which has a very good chance of happening. Things are looking good for me though!
With all of that I hope you guys understand the lack of posting. This summer I promise I will catch up again, I only have a few places to go this summer.. so maybe I will do some traveling posts :)

Stila Sparkle Waterproof liquid Eye Liner in "Bora Bora" Review & Swatches

Bonjour! Aujourd'ui I am going to review the new Stila waterproof liquid liner! I would say I got this a couple weeks ago and it was something that I swatched in the store, and it was so vibrant and pretty that I absolutely needed to have it in my life ( story of my life, lol)! I put it on the night I bought it to go out to dinner, and It was great! It didn't move. I will say that I did notice that these liners look suspiciously similar to the ones MAC, and Illamasqua launched around the same time. I must say that even though I loved this on my eye, I was really disappointed with it.

COLOR:

I do really adore these kind of mermaid colors, its my weakness! Great color, especially if you were graced with brown eyes.

PIGMENTATION:

This sucker is about as pigmented as they come. One swipe, and eyegasm all over the place. I'm not exaggerating the tiniest bit either. I tested some other colors out, but I found this one to be the most pigmented.

WEAR:

It wears so good, that i couldn't get it off my eye! It was the most dreadful thing I have experienced. Even after going to town with my makeup wipe, and then a Chanel eye makeup remover it wouldn't come off. It stained my eye for 2 days. And nothing would cover it, so I was stuck with wearing the blue eyeliner look for in total 3 days. This makes me sad, I had high hopes. This is in fact TOO waterproof!

APPLICATION:

It applies like I said suspiciously like the MAC and Illamasqua ones. The applicator and packaging is identical just with a different brand name printed on the label. It isn't realistic with this kind of applicator to want to put on a thin layer, it always comes out to be more of a medium to heavy thickness.

PRICE:

22$ for 0.05 oz. Which is WAY to overpriced for such a small amount of product.

Overall:

I would not repurchase this, I am not a fan of stila liquid liners in general anyways. If you want one similar to this get the Illamasqua one. I have the MAC one and when you take it off the eyeliner balls up in tiny balls and beads off your eye which could scratch your eye and cause some serious damage. And of course this eyeliner stains so opt for the Illamasqua one.

Bobbi Brown Corrector Concealer Review!

Bonjour!

This past weekend I went to Sephora, and noticed that they finally have a section of Bobbi Brown. Since I got their early enough, practically no one was in the store so I got the pleasure of looking around the new stand, by my self, without other people hovering over me waiting for me too leave so they can look! I was so excited about this, mostly because of the fact I wanted to try Bobbi Browns face products because they look light enough for me! I was completely right! Unfortunately the one thing I really wanted to try was the skin foundation, they only had the second lightest shade, porcelain. For me I am definitely Alabaster because of the fact that all of Bobbi Browns face products tend to lean more yellow. Since I am textbook cool, I would definitely be Alabaster which has some yellow in to counteract redness, but has the right amount of pink to work. In the concealer it is all different. The one i ended up picking up is the one in porcelain Bisque. This has pink undertones in it, as you can see in pictures below, and since my arm is basically even skin (meaning no splotches of red/pink/discoloration) it shows a tad bit off in color, but still a good match. On my actual face it's gorgeous! matches really nicely, and since it is a corrector concealer it counteracts all the colors you don't want on your face, like red for spots, and blues and purples for under eye areas. I find that i like this more for spots and blemishes more than on the under eyes, because it creases on me because it is pretty full coverage. The concealer itself is very creamy and pigmented. I would say depending on how much you use it is a medium coverage to very full coverage concealer. I think this is great for us cool, incredibly pale skinned people. I think guys could get away with wearing this even because Bobbi brown designed this to blend perfectly into peoples skin tone. Because in all truth no one has completely pink undertones. Even if you are super cool toned like me, you still have some yellow pigment in your skin. I love this concealer and this has replaced my favorite concealer.. which is the Kat Von D tattoo concealer in Porcelain.

Hummingbird Heartbeat

Bonjour! Long time no post, sorry about that! Life has been taking priority, and probably school has taken center stage. I have an AP exam next Friday, that I am absolutely thrilled about. I had a nice relaxing day, picked up some stuff for my face at the mall.. other than that I did nothing :) So i decided to release some of my emotions through this look (since my eye is my canvas). People are stressing me out, specifically that of males. I wanted to convey a sense of an alternate reality in which a forest nymph is the focus. I feel if I was any mythical creature at all, I am pretty confident that I would be something along the lines of a mermaid or a fairy. I still wish sometimes, and even think sometimes that i am in my fantasy world in my head, because everything is so... just so! I got inspired to name this after Katy Perry's song, because I felt it appropriate. Everything about the song is perfect, the lyrics, the back round music. Well.. Make Up For Ever Flash Palette Loveliness...

Bonjour Mon Amies! I thought since I know I had lusted after this forever, until recently ( on my Birthday) I actually got it. let me say first off... I love Make Up For Ever, and I want everything they carry in their range basically. So it was fate, in a matter of time I would get this. I am glad I did! The colors in here are really nicely pigmented, and creamy.. like really creamy. When I got this, I assumed from all of the Blog stalking, that it would be a slightly thicker consistency.. but no, this goes on like bud-da! Their are only I think Three colors that you cannot put on your eyes, because they have a red dye/ pigment in them which is found to aggravate the eyes, and their are three shades you cannot put on your mouth. The Red, Coral, and Pink are the ones not allowed on the eyes, and both of the metallic colors are not lip safe along with the blue.

These will crease if you don't have a base under this, or some sort of primer. It is quite pricey but if you are a Makeup Artist or someone who likes to do all sorts if creative looks, this is well worth it!

Hello Lovelies! Sorry I haven't updated this in a while, spring break was last week and I really didn't feel like doing much of anything. This week was back to the old grind, and today was Saturday so I thought I should put up a new post. Because of all of the bloggers and YouTubers in the beauty world were raving about these blushes, I thought I would give them go. I went to sephora and fell in Love! These are everything and more of what you hear and read about. The pigment is fantastic, and so is the saying power. The swatches that you see below I kept on my arm all night, slept with them on my arm.. and when I woke up they weren't as bright but still, they stayed on all night! That's pretty nice, considering that I am a wild sleeper!

So supposedly the founder of Tarte Cosmetics went on a trip to the amazon, and found at the bottom of the Amazon river a "groundbreaking" new clay that is supposed to make dry skin more moisturized and oily skin less oily. Interesting, I think... do I think that it lives up to it's claim? Well, I have fairly normal skin.. (not to oily, and not to dry.. though more dry) so I am not the best judge for saying if this works or not. I found that it doesn't break me out, I tested it for two weeks and nothing. I really like these and would recommend them!

You Jamaican' me crazy!

A storm surge passes over the island, making it seem dark.. and even more mysterious that it was before. The palm tree's are swaying in the wind, and suddenly they stop. The water is thrashing violently, but instead of the water being a clear blue.. the water is now a rich turquoise. Though the rich colors in on the island aren't any less vibrant than before, still flickering of lime green and yellow hues. The storm has now passed but the island still reeking of the mysterious sea storm air, and the partying has now commenced.

I was inspired by more of the mysterious Jamaica rather than the "partying" Jamaica. It is kinda overcast where I live today, so that kind of inspired me. I hope you guys like it!

Selfish Saturdays?!: Get To Know Me Better

Bonjour! So I thought, hey why not reveal somethings about myself to you all to connect on a different level you know? Anyways, this will be called "Selfish Saturday's", but to counteract the selfishness I will be doing a "Share the love Sunday.

To vent a little,I wanted to share that I have been feeling a little like Alice in Wonderland for the past couple weeks, and I don't know why. I have kinda been digging the Vintage-Gothic style that Alice and wonderland kind of has too. This brings up fashion, and If you know me I am the kind of person who is "fashionable", at all. I rock the sweatshirt, jeans and tennis shoes look all year round. Though I do have a fashionable conscious. I have a very definite vision of what I love clothing wise in my head but it doesn't translate at all to my actual body. With that confession aside that I hardly think anyone will understand I am doing a 15 question tag ( I have no clue where it is from, but I found it online and fancied it)!

1. What do you think you can do but can't?

   Well, I like to think I am a good at time management, but in all actuality I am horrid at it! nothing else too exciting!

2. What's a difficult word for you to pronounce?

   Nuclear. I always want to say NucULAR. Never fails, despite my first language being English :)

3. What is a favorite TV show from your childhood?

   I was a 90's kid, and I had a lot. Scooby Doo, Sponge-Bob, Ahh Real Monsters, Franklin, Little Bear, The Wild Thornberries, Blue's Clue's, Sesame Street, Barney, The Winx Club, The powerpuff girls.. I can go on!

4. What are your virtues and vices?

   Virtues: Organization, Makeup, Being Sympathetic, and having a great imagination
Vices: Cleaning, Time management, using sarcasm

5. What's more important: love, fame, power, or money?

   All you need is love

6. If you could live in any era/time period, when would it be and why?

   I don't really know... Probably in a time where everything was innocent and untainted.. Like the 1700's or 1600's in a setting like Red Riding Hood. Or maybe in the 50's specifically in Louisiana living in a big plantation house.

7. If you had to redo your entire wardrobe with 2 stores, what would they be and why?

   As I said before I like to "dream" shop in my head, so in my head Urban Outfitters, and Topshop.... Realistically Victoria's Secret, and anywhere that sells Vigoss jeans!

8. Can you recall what you were doing a year ago on this day?

   I actually have a really good memory... I was at home, doing Homework. Fun stuff.

9. Do you have reoccurring dreams? If so, explain?

   I do but when I wake up and have the dream, I remember if it was reoccurring... but after it slips my mind. I think my last one involved a person of interest...

10. What's your horoscope?

   Pisces... and it describes me to a tee!

11. What does your dream bedroom look like?

   A vintagey-Gothic- Dreamy room... Mostly huge, with a balcony, and one that leads to the woods!

12. What position do you sleep in?

   I am a side sleeper, but I also sometimes sleep on my stomach. Sometimes half and Half.

13. Who is your favorite vampire of all time?

   Dimitri Belovik from Vampire Academy, and the Edward Cullen FROM THE BOOK, not Robert Pattison... I also love Kalona from the House of Night series... Oh and Alexander from Vampire Kisses... I'm done now.

14. What are you currently wearing on your feet?

   Nothing, bare foot. But on my toes I have OPI's Funky Dunky.

15. Do you have neat handwriting? Show us!

   I have been told I have lovely hand writing and I will show you soon if you want to see it!

Glamour Doll Eyes Twi-Shadows Swatches!

As Promised, some swatches of my Glamour Doll Eyes Twi-Shadows! I am sligtly obsessed with vampires, and yes I think twilight the books were amazing.. I think the movie ruined them for me. But I still like the concept! Enjoy the swatches!

Dear Mom, is a nice neutral pink color. I say neutral because I found that it shifts, and can be a cool pink most of the time, but it can look warm. This shade has silver and light pink glitter in it. This is Esme's shade BTW.

This is Alice's shade, and it is loverly! It is a darker plum with gold, magenta and cool blue flecks in it! This looks great over a black base, and on brown eyes to die for!

Family secret is more of a pale silver shade, as I found this out when swatching, and when wet you can really tell.

Black Ice is Rosalie's color, and it is a black with definite silver glitter. Can appear slightly matte though.

Mind Reader is Edward's color from the line, and I loveee this one! By far my favorite! It is basically a dark navy, with some specks in it but appears more matte.

This is Bella's color. It reminds me of MAC Cranberry but richer and deeper and more cool toned. This has purple, and pink flecks in it.

The Perfect Cure is Dr. Cullen's color, and it is a warmer coco color. It has the lightest green flecks in it too!!

This is really close to "Family Secret" but this is less silver toned. This is more of a "proper" highlight color because it is more white, rather than silver.

Mood Swing is Japers color. I love this one as well. It is so beautiful! It is like a Ghost blue, It is heathery and a medium blue as well. This has Faint blue, and looks like magenta and possibly yellow flecks in it.

This color is very unique. It is Emmett's and It is like a soft, medium, mossy green with green, and peachy flecks in it. Really pretty!

I haven't really been feeling beachy, but it has been quite hot around here, and all I have been hearing about lately is how people are going to the beach -__- I am content with my porcelain-esque skin, so no beach for me! Excuse my eyebrows too, I am trying to grow a part of them out, so don't mind the long hair randomly poking out of my brow. I was originally going too do a "Greece" inspired look.. but I didn't think it quite hit the standard. What colors do you think of when you think of greece? Bonjour! Last week on my Birthday I got a bunch of lovely goodies! I specifically asked for sugarpill and to my surprise I got some! I have heard a bunch about this brand, and how pigmented and how beautifully the colors deliver. They were all right! I really like the packaging though, a lot! These Eye shadows are vegan and cruelty free, for those concerned like moi :) Lately I have been trying to build up my collection with brighter, more complex colors because I finally decided this is possibly what I want to do with my life! The complexity of these colors are very complicated... but in a good way. I had a heck of a time photographing one of these colors (which will be evident by the 500 pictures of it ).

Buttercupcake is a more golden butter color. It looks matte on the website and for the most part it is, but there are really small flecks of silver, as hopefully you see in the picture above. It is incredibly nice textured, not completely creamy (few steps away but still has a slight, unnoticeable to everyone except me deal, hardness.. that is good, really good! This is because you notice some eye shadows that are so creamy that crumble when your brush try to pick up some product? So it is a good thing.)

Goldilux is a really unique gold in my opinion. It was hard to capture the true color of this. It can look warm or cool.. here it is photographed warm... but just yesterday I wore it on my eyes, and it seemed to adjust to my skin tone? Crazy! It is a gorgeous tarnished, buried treasure gold.. like the color of doubloons.

Absinthe is most definitely what I will be wearing on St. Patrick's day (FYI) and another complex color. It's main color is a light bright green, but it has golden, looks like pink and also blue flecks embedded in it.

(P.S Do you notice that on every pigment jar for each name it has it's own unique symbol? Like here the star? I thought that was kinda neat!)

Weekender is yet another very complex color (surprise!!). It is a cool purple because of the strong blue undertones in it, but it also has blue and magenta glitter. It appears different ways in different lights, but it is definitely a stunner! If you are cool toned... this is a heaven sent!

Tiara is a very vivid silver. It preforms like a silver should, with a metallic finish and some complexity. This color actually reminds me a lot of Fyrinnaes Dinosaur Plushie. It has it seems a rainbow of flecks going on within it, and this one is definitely cool toned!

This color, was the one that was the hardest to photograph! It is soooooo complex!!! Stella is a black color with predominate blue, purple, and magenta sparkles it it!! It is by far my favorite one, and it is mouth watering to look at!!! I tried to capture the intensity in swatch pictures.. I did I think but the ones where you can really see the sparkles, the pictures are blurry ;/

Well, let me just say two things first. One: I was at universal Today, in Islands of Adventure which was amazing. And Two: My Birthday is tomorrow!

Now that, that is out of the way, I got this at the same time i got the other palettes but I never got around to putting the actual blog post up! Bonjour Mes Amies!

Today I bring to you swatches of the new Wet N Wild palettes! I only got the ones that grabbed my eyes, I like cucumbers, and cool colors so I thought why not? I think that Wet N Wild is the best drugstore brand out there besides NYX... unfortunately I have not had the chance to try some European Drugstore brands yet and I soon hope to!

I took multiple swatch pictures and in different lights, angles, and places to make sure that I got the true colors of the palette. I think I like this quad the best for lighter eyes especially blue, but I think it will work on all eye colors!

(P.S.. I think the last picture captures the colors most true to real life!)

So I think it is time for me to review these since I have had them since July of last year :P Anyway I know there is a lot of "Negative" feedback over this company but I really don't see why. I don't really have a side in the war, but I will say that I like Lime Crime's products. After I got these lipsticks I started seeing videos popping up all over about how horrible these lipsticks were. In my opinion I think they are creamy, maybe a tad drying when your lips aren't properly moisturized but not more than any other lipstick. I think the lipsticks are creamy, extremely opaque, and come in unicorn packing. That alone was motive for me to buy them! I think the only negative I found with these are they wiggle a bit ( meaning the lipstick inside the tube, like it might break almost). That is it. I am going into this will a clear mind, and nothing is altering my opinion on these. I think they are good quality, they are a little pricey for the amount that you get (which is a little under what you would get with a MAC lipstick, which is $14, while a lime crime lipstick is $16). Overall i really like these! My favorite is D'Lilac, the purple!!

Chanel Nail Polish in Black Pearl

Hello Everybody! Long time no see, huh? Well I got my camera back!! Nothing was wrong but the flash bulb just blew out. And I painted my nails last night and thought, well you have your camera back, and you just got this nail polish... why not do a blog post on it? Let me just say it was a big accomplishment for me to paint both my hands because absolutely everyone makes fun of me for only painting one hand, so I think my friend has rubbed off on me and I have lately been painting both hands :)

Anyway, I went to the Chanel counter in Dillards and the nail polish beckoned me from the rack! I really like the formula, and It should have a mighty fine formula for being 25$! I like the color, it is a lot more green based than it appears in the bottle, and it reminds me very much so of a mermaid. And if a mermaid were to wear nail polish, which I am sure they do!, they would wear this color. I don't think it that special, especially since it is 25$. I think you can find colors close to this for a third of the price. I am glad I bought it though.

My Camera Has A bobo :(

Soo.. My Camera, My baby, is in the camera shop right now. The actual camera is fine, but either the bulb in the flash needs to be replaced or the trigger that operates the flash is not working. Either way they can fix it, in either situation. It will just be a couple more days till I can get it back and take some more pictures! I feel so bad, and thought I would do some explanation post. I feel really bad, and LOTS of things are coming up in my future! I will do varieties of Valentines day looks, so no fear in that! My Birthday is also coming up and I am planning that to! Well I hope you all had a lovely week, and talk to you hopefully soon!

Are you Warm or Cool?

I thought this would be helpful to a bunch of people, the quest to find your undertone. I know that there are more sub-divisions like having an olive undertone, or a peach, or a beige undertone. This is a basic way to find what you are in the world of your skin!

As you can see above, I took a a picture of my veins. This is the easiest way to know your undertone. Are your veins more blue, or are they more green tinted? Mine as you can see above are most definitely blue. You can also see that the skin on my arm is pink tinted. If you have warm skin it would be more yellow hued.

The next way to tell if you couldn't figure it out the first time is my taking a gold piece of jewelry, and a silver one and comparing them to your skin. I used earrings that are identical, but just different colors. As you can see already the silver compliments my skin more than the gold does. If you think that both of these flatter you skin you could quite possibly be neutral.

Here are the two ontop of each other, and you can see that I was right, and the silver most definitely flatters my skin a lot more than the gold.

Cool skin : 2/2 Warm Skin: 0/2

The final way to tell if you are warm or cool is to take a very cool colored fabric, and a very warm colored fabric and put them on yourself and then see which flatters you more. I chose a bright blue, and a mustard yellow color. Final decision : I am definitely a cool toned individual :) The blue definitely flatters me more than the yellow! Now if you find that It was the opposite for you, you are warm. If you found both to flatter you in all three cases, you are neutral.. If you got a few warm , and some cool go with the majority :)

BEST MAKEUP WIPES EVER!

Okay let me say first off, this was love at first sight. It is a " Say yes to Carrots" product, Love them to bits and pieces. And these claim to make you face feel nourished, and even says that when you wipe with there wipe that you don't even need to wash your face afterward. Do I believe that? Possibly. Would I test it out? That is a negative. But I do think that these are a billion times better than any other wipes I have bought, including MAC wipes. They really do nourish the skin, and make it feel "Refreshed!". I will definitely be re-buying them, again, and again, and you guessed it again :)

And they have the Happy Bunny on the package, and clearly states "Against Animal Testing!" Rock on Say yes to carrots! You make me proud.. it is hard to find companies that carry those symbols on their packaging. I love them already, and animal testing is something I take strong offense to and disagree with, with all of my heart. Win.

NYX Jumbo Pencil's Swatches/ Update

Okay, I feel pretty proud how quick I am pumping these posts out! Any who, I picked up these after seeing how pretty the colors were.. and I have a bunch of jumbo pencils anyway. I got them in the shades Purple, and Rocky Mountain Green. I like the green one a lot better because it is more consistent in application, the purple one is complex in colors so it isn't consistent in application ( You can see this around the edges in the photos below).

Update:

I just got back to school today and it was grueling and just horrid waking up so early. I am getting up a lot of posts today because I won't do it this weekend because I want some well deserved relaxation time. I just recently had midterms which gave me additional stress. I am thinking of doing a "Artistic" look on Friday, and possibly filming a Youtube video? Any thoughts on what I should do it on? Well to get on with the Swatches, and cease the rambling.. here are the in depth photos :)

Too Faced Shadow Insurance Glitter Bonding: First Impression

I picked this up when I went to Ulta on Tuesday, primarily because Fyrinnae's Pixie Epoxy was a total miss for me. I wouldn't bash it because I know a lot of people that like it, but it worked for a couple days then became incredibly "clumpy" and my eyeshadow balled up. So needless to say, I wanted another eyeshadow base that made my eye shadows/ glitter pop and adhere so well. I heard about they released it, and saw it and gave it a try.

First Impression on this, it has the same feel as TFSI the regular one, but it is a tad pinker toned, and it is slightly stickier. It also has a very, very faint smell. But it is noticeable. Nothing crazy or that would irritate sensitive eyes, it goes away once it is on the skin. I like the packaging, I have always liked Too faced primers packaging. The holo glitter on the package where it says "Glitter bonding" is a nice touch as well :P In the last picture you will notice that I tried it out with an Eyekandy Glitter and on one side it is normal Too Faced Shadow Insurance and then next to it is the glitter bonding on! Amazing right? I will update once I test it out for a while :)

NARS Rated R Eyeshadow Duo Swatches

So I picked up this Duo* on Saturday when I went to Sephora with my Friend. I had been wanting to try it for a long time because the colors scream me!! It was love at first swatch.. It is soooo pigmented and the colors are beautiful! They are kinda powdery in the sense that when you take a brush to either one a fair amount of product comes around where you put the brush and you loose enough for a good swatch :( But I love it, it is my Baby. The colors are bam in your face, and the amount is great for the price!

Ello! I wanted to do a series, one based on traditional makeup from countries all around the world. I am not talking about what people in lets say Indian wear on a day to day basis... but what they wear on special days... with the full face of "not everyday makeup". Like in Chinese Culture I know they do special makeup, called "Opera makeup". It is over top and absolutely fascinating. I know a bunch of people from ALL over read my blog.... I know people in Japan, Romania, Egypt, Shri Lanka, Germany and many more that read this blog. I am asking for your help, all of you, to show me, tell me or link me to what are special/ Traditional Makeup looks that your country does.
Please Tell me the following:
~ What country/ Region you are from
~ If you live in a specific Tribe/ city that is native your particular "look" include that so I can specify.
~ Picture/ link so I can recreate it.
~ A little back round Info on what people wear this look to/ why.
~ If you don't have a "Look" native to the area you lived in/ live in then maybe send me a picture of monsters that natives in your culture believe in.

Example:
I live in the United States, and native to my country we have Halloween, where people wear all kinds of masks and scary makeup. We also have football games where people put special makeup on.. ( In the USA we don't have that "Cultural" of makeup.. bout a cultural as we get!) We do this because On Halloween it is a tradition you must dress up to get candy and ward off evil spirits... on Football game day's we do this to show our full support of our team.. here is a picture (insert picture link)..

Hey Lovelies!

So I thought I would put this up because I am livid at my freaking computer, and sad that my friends are having fun talking to each other while I am moaping around sad that I am not... I always so how get left out of things... no matter what it is :( Anyone else have the same problem? Well anyways I did this today after I watched NikkieTutorials contest video, and heard the idea and I was interested! I don't think I am going to enter but it was fun doing, I don't have enough self confidence to do much of anything anymore :) I hope you guys had a good week, and I will be swamped with midterms so I might not get anything up... I got a little inspired by Edgar Allen Poe for some reason... Don't know why of all times he would pop up, but he did. I think It reminds me of him and his work too. The cut crease and the one on the lower lid reminds me of the shape of a Raven's head, Can you see it? And the other thing I did reminds me of Creepy tree's and when I think creepy tree's two people pop in my head. Tim Burton, and Edger Allen Poe.
